Your Pet's Name:
How did your pet enter your life?
I was working as an assistant at a veterinary hospital in Portland, OR and Jesse was brought to us by Animal Aid for a front leg amputation--he was born with a severe leg deformity that caused sores and infection in the leg. I grew attached to him during his recovery stay. He went back to Animal Aid as a 3-legged cat and was adopted out to a household with a few other cats. I told Animal Aid to let me know if it didn't work out. A couple months later they informed me he was returned because he was picking on the other cats in that household and was available for adoption again. I went to pick him up after work that day...11 years ago.
What's your pet's favorite activity?
Watching the squirrels and birds at the bird feeder from the kitchen window. And chasing any outdoor cats from window to window inside the house. And sleeping. And being the boss of the dog.
What would be your pet's dream vacation?
Any wooded area where he could chase/torture bunnies and birds. He's a serial killer at heart (and amazingly agile for only having 3 legs), so for the sake of the local wildlife, he's an indoor-only cat.
Does your pet have a nickname?
Jessica. He has a high-pitched meow that sounds very girly.
